I cant tell you what i did today

Because you may tell my daddy. And that would be bad because that would ruin his surprise. And daddy loves my surprises. So what I will tell you is this...

I went and saw Nahnah and Chino (yay!) and we went down to the shops (where I slept the whole time so no shopping for daddy happening here!!) After shopping we went and got some yummy lunch and sat at the beach to eat it. It was very cold! This really cute sausage dog puppy named Mia kept coming and playing with me. She was so cute and tiny, and had 6 toes on one of her paws. A special puppy her owner said.

After this, mummy and I went down to big school so mummy could hand in her homework.I slept on the way there, and then while mummy walked all around school and stamped her homework. Once we stamped it she realised that she hadn't printed it out right so we had to go for a trip to the library. We met daddy before that and it was only when i heard daddys voice that I woke up! Daddy came with us and he and I played while mummy did her school work. Lucky you don't have to be quiet in this library because we were having so much fun! We had to go then so we could do dads present (I really want to tell you, but im sorry - i can't!). On our way out we ran into mummys friend and I told him that daddy needed to do a wee!

Oh btw - my daddy is sixty-two. I will tell you that if you ask me.

We had a bath, and then went to have dinner. Mummy said it had to be an early dinner because i have been very sleepy lately and having bad dreams so she wanted me in bed nice and early. I was in bed by 8 so that wasn't bad! Have you seen the moon tonight?? He is so big, and bright and beautiful. When i went and said goodnight to him he was surrounded by a big bed a clouds that looked like a comfy bed. Perhaps it is his bed time too and his mummy wan'ts him to have an early night. :) I asked the moon to say goodnight to daddy, nahnah & poppa too. And then called him 'char chars moon'.

Off to bundaberg tomorrow for a road trip! yay. Will update with my adventures when i get home :) lots of photos!

Beach night two nights ago

These are some photos from the full moon night (we didn't see the full moon very much because it was very cloudy!)

We went down and got some pizza and enjoyed a night of relaxing, playing on the park and enjoying the beautiful beach. It was a really great night :) You should see how high I can go on the swings, and how fast i can go down the slide!!
Mummy and I were having races down the slide, i kept beating her! Yay!

oh dear my hand!

Love Charlotte.

Last night, I was running away from Daddy and I hit the guitar and cut my hand. It caused me a great deal of problems last night, and this morning I can't even walk it is hurting me so badly. I can't use it, and i am just crying all the time. (Mummy thinks i am faking it a little bit). But really, I CAN'T WALK!

Last night I didn't get to sleep till really late because I got so upset that mummy took the bandaid off my hand, and i was really over tired from two big days. I ended up falling asleep cuddling mummy at about 9pm. Mind you, i was up again @ 5.45. Oh dear. Perhaps that is why I am a bit grumpy today. Mummy is hoping for one of my mammoth 4 hour naps today.

Today we are going shopping for Daddys fathers day present, which is next weekend! Yay! I love going shopping for Daddy.

This is all. Time to get ready for the day.

.Beach & park.

Another fantastic day in the life of 'Char Char'.
It started (of course) with cuddles with mummy - always a recipe for success. This morning I woke her up by bringing in a box of cereal. I was hungry and wanted her to know! I ate some breakfast, we did some washing and then got ready to go meet the fam for breakfast.

Before we left I snuck outside and sat down on the top of the stairs with my phone (blue phone) and called Daddy. It was a secret call, mummy wasn't aloud to know what I was saying!

We went down to cotton tree (my favourite) and ate breakfast with Aunt, Great Aunt, Munk, Nahnah & Poppa. I got some new shoes and enjoyed showing off to my family. Mummy took me over to play on the park where I met another little girl named Charlotte and we played on the slide and the bridge. I was jumping all the way across the bridge, that was really fun!

On the way home I had a big sleep and was completely unaware of mummy getting a picnic ready to go to thea beach and meet auntie Sammy, Uncle Josh, Connor, and jess. Having a picnic with them was so much and i enjoyed building sandcastles and being in the sun. Daddy came down and I got the biggest surprise when I saw him :). Daddy took me down to the water to play, and I got my dress wet! oh no! I had such a lovely time down at the beach, and having coffee with the girls afterwards. I love coffee and gossips at starbucks :)

When we got home I had a shower and helped mummy cook and clean the house. I was playing with my elmo guitar before dinner. When you press the button he makes all different sounds and one of the things he says is "jam with elmo" so i said back "jam on toast elmo!"

I was very excited when I Went to bed tonight as tomorrow is Daddy day and he promised to take me to the park :) yay!

What a perfect day :)

I think I saw nearly all my favourite people today.
Mummy (ofcourse!)
Daddy
Nahnah
Poppa
Uncle Ash
Chino
Nana Betty & Pop Don
Auntie Cake
Auntie Neil
Uncle Matt

....

well, there are a lot missing from that list but that is not a bad effort for one days work.

So, to start my day was a nice relaxing reading session with mummy. She tried to trick me into reading new books by changing the order of them but I knew better and got my favourite books from the bottom of the pile - naughty mummy! Once we got ready it was off to the voting station to start our busy day. It was such a hot, long wait in the sun but eventually we got to the front of the line and it was time to make our vote count! The man asked if i was voting and if i was 18. I told him honestly, 'no i am 2'. I was a bit frightened by all the people. Perhaps they were a bit crazier with election fever?

After voting we went for a 'quick' stop at Nahs to pick some Jasmine to take up to nanny bevs house. Well a quick stop turned into a long tea stop with lots of chatting. Nana Betty and Pop don called in while we were there so it was really good to see them. We had a good morning, until I decided it would be fun to play in dog wee. :| Not fun. Lucky i had only just put my feet in the puddle when mummy spotted me. Good thing though (there is always a silver lining) I got to dip my feet into the pool to wash them off. I can't wait till it is warmer and I can actually go swimming all the time. Watch out mum & dad, it will be a pool season this summer!

After this it was off to see my two beautiful and favourite auntie Catherine and Tenille. Hoorah! And what a surprise I got when Daddy was there as well. I was yelling out to him the whole way up the steps. 'daddy, daddy, daddy!' Auntie Cake, Auntie Neil and I read books and jumped on the trampoline. It was so much fun to spend time with them. Auntie Cake and I got to spend some extra special time together when mummy went out for lunch. That was really special, we haven't ever done that before.

Uncle Matt came and saw mummy and I at our house for afternoon tea. Yum! He brought with him a peacan danish! YUM YUM! We sat out the front and enjoyed our afternoon tea. I enjoyed showing him all my toys and pretending to go to the park, and then pretending to take teddy to the hospital. Poor teddy fell off the bike. When running into check teddy I tripped and landed on my zylaphone. That sure did hurt! All is okay, no blood, broken bones or bruises.

Mummy & I enjoyed a quite night and had left over thai for dinner. I really loved it and wanted to eat mummys too. We then curlled up on the couch and mummy put on a romantic movie for us both to watch. I loved it and was the most intrigued I have ever been watching tv. Another hopeless romantic, just like my mummy. Towards the end I fell asleep on mummys lap. What a perfect way to end the most perfect day.

Off to the park tomorrow. YAY!

Izabella Erin Belling

Izabella Erin Belling was born today, she is my cousin :) Little sister to Felicity and daughter to Auntie Annie & Uncle Andrew and she is very beautiful. I keep asking mummy if i can see her picture on mummys phone. please mummy, baby?

Last night was another full night sleep, with this morning being back to normal of jumping in mummys bed as happy as can be and ready her books. It is nice to be feeling better. I still have a bit of a cough and runny nose but apart from that I am all mended. Hooorah says mummy and I! Now we just have to get mummy better.

I have learnt how to pore myself a drink of water out of the water dispenser on the bench. Clever right? Again, i am only aloud to do it while Mummy is with me but I do a very good job and mummy is very proud of how fast I am developing.

Nanny and Poppy brought a surprise visitor to our house this morning - auntie Julie. She is down from the farm in victoria. I had fun showing her around our house, showing her my bedroom and nannys knitting. I really wanted to show her my park but it was raining.

Instead of playing outside today mummy and I did some baking of some chocolate chip cookies. I kept sneaking the chocolate chips out of the bowl while mummy wasn't looking. I think the big chocolatey grin I kept giving her gave me away a little bit! I got a chance to use the beaters, but I am a bit little still to do that and they got away from me like a remote control car!

I can now spell TANTRUM

... okay i lied, i can't spell it but i surrrrre can chuck a mean tantrum! All part of learning, right mummy? This morning we had battle of the wills over using my manners. Mummy won, after about 15minutes of screaming and tears. Oh dear me, how pushy my mum can be!

The day, however, has been a pleasant one. I have been in a much better mood, my eating has improved rapidly with 1 weetbix at breakfast, yoghurt and strawberries for lunch, a banana for afternoon tea and then nearly all my dinner. The sleeping didn't work to well during the day but it didn't really effect my moods so I am thinking I am only a few steps away from recovery. Last day of medicine tomorrow and then all back to new! Mummy is contemplating keeping me home saturday night (we are supposed to be going to a raving party) just to let me recover a little bit more, not tempt fate to much. Lets see what Saturday brings?

Mummy asked me today to be careful with the coaster on the table so I didn't scratch it so I put my coaster up and then when mummy turned away I begun scratching the table with my fingers. Mummy couldn't help but laugh at me. That was while Auntie Neil was at our house, she also thought i was very cute. I played on my park with auntie neil today. :) I loved doing that.

I also helped mummy with the groceries, although after today we have made a promise to never go shopping on a thursday morning, so many people out and about. I did make a nice friend with an elderly gentleman at the shops. He said I reminded him of his wife when she was younger, she has recently passed away so he said it made him happy to talk to me.

Mummy and i played playdough. We formed sculptures of snails, and of me!! I will upload the photos when i am using the other computer (I am on mummys uni computer at the moment, interrupting her assignment time)

Finger crossed for a great nights sleep tonight. I am feeling that it will be a good one. Sweet dreams to everyone :)

Welcome back Charlotte!!

Yesterday I got to go to Mummy & Daddys school twice!! Once i got to stay there for an hour with daddy and have some lunch (and some chocolate biccie but don't tell mummy) and then i got to come back at 3 to meet daddy so i could play with him for the afternoon. It was fun being at big school and meeting mummy and daddys friends, but i would have preferred to be at my school with my friends. Next week, because i wont be sick anymore
'
When we got home from daddys I didn't want any dinner and was falling asleep on the couch while I was supposed to be drinking my milk so it was early to bed for me! And guess what??!! I slept all night. Mummy didn't hear me cough very often and I finally got a full 12 hour sleep! YAY!

This morning I am more my normal self again. Still a bit pushy with mum (oh no... terrible twos perhaps?) and a bit sensitive but all good from there :D

Sick little baby :(

Tonight I didn't eat my dinner...
I didn't drink my milk...
I nearly fell asleep before dinner and wanted to sleep in mummys bed.
Mummy put me to bed at 7.30, it is now 8.30 and i have woken up twice.

Oh no. :(

happy birthday poppa

Happy Birthday to you.
Happy birthday to you
happy birthday to Poppa
You are now two!

This is my version of happy birthday, because everyone who has a birthday is two. But not mummy, this is what i have been telling her all day. She is not two.

Mummy said last night before I went to bed that I would get to go and see Poppa and Nahnah in the morning after my big sleep, so when I woke up at 6am I wanted to go then and got very upset and couldn't understand why it was to early. I was awake, mummy was awake... shouldn't everyone be awake?

Mummy made me wait until 7.30. that was a long hour and a half for me. When I got to Poppa I jumped on his bed and gave him the biggest birthday cuddle you have ever seen. I helped him open his present, and later in the day when auntie ash brought a cake around I helped him eat his cake. I even got to have dinner with them. YUM STEAK!

I got to help Nahnah wash Chino and Sasha today, and help mummy vaccum the car. I got my fingers slammed in the door! OWWWWWWW! That really hurt and I was very sad. Naughty car mummy said.

I have developed a nasty cough over the last couple of days and tonight it was exceptionally bad. I seem to be a bit sensitive, and got quite upset tonight. I am now snug in bed sleeping it off so hoping to feel better tonight for Daddys day.

I saw the moon tonight? Did you? I Told mummy that Daddy could see it too.

Can you see where I put my boots on horsey? Hehe cheeeky!

To young for coffeee?

A day at the beach - perfect.
A trip to the park - double perfect.
Vegemite sandwiches - triple perfect.
Drinking my milk out of a starbucks coffee cup - priceless!

It was a good morning this morning, where i got to wake mummy up and jump into her bed and have nice quuite snuggles. Then we read some stories and slowly made our way into the beginning of the day. Mummy wanted to get some washing done in the morning so i played on the park and with bubba. I wanted to get bubbas pram down stairs so she could sit and watch me on the park but i accidentally pushed her down the steps. I was so upset and worried that i had hurt her but she is okay - thankfully.

It is poppas birthday tomorrow so we had to go down and get him his present today. I will tell you what we got if you can keep it a secret? We brought him all different goodies that make up a perfect birthday, things that poppa really likes. We got him some action dvds, peanuts and s&v chips. Some crumpets for breakfast, some fishing gear, some sausages and beer.

It was then time for a vegemite sandwich picnic at the beach with auntie ash. hoorah! We had so much fun playing down there and having a real girly catch up. It was such a beautiful and sunny day. The lovely ladies at starbucks warmed me up some milk and put it in a coffee cup so i could drink it. I felt as important as mummy with my 'tea'. We got some strange looks though, maybe people thought i was to young to be having coffee. If they knew my parents they would understand!!

Home again, home again, jiggity jig. Time to have a bath, where i washed my own hair (mummy did have to help a bit to wash it out though but i did most of it). I then packed up all my toys by myself and got out of the bath and wrapped myself up in my towel. I wanted to do it all by myself but again mummy helped a little bit. I also spent some time in big girls undies with no accidents, HOORAH!

I was very sleepy by tonight after only having a small nap in my pram today so i was a little bit grumpy before dinner. A chat to daddy on the phone changed that and put me in a good mood for the rest of dinner, and then cuddles with mummy.

And then it was time for bed.... but......

after about 15 minutes of being in bed mummy rushed in and got me up (i was still talking to bubba) and we stood looking through our kitchen window at the beautiful fireworks display that was out towards palmwoods. It actually looked like it was coming from daddys. we had perfect view of them. So many beautiful colours - pinks, blues, greens and purples. I really enjoyed the fireworks.

Wee wees

Yesterday morning mummy caught me playing with her earings and rings, i really like mummys pretties. Turns out i had lost one of mummys earings. We looked everywhere for it but mummy couldn't find it and it made her a little bit upset. They are her favourite ones. An hour later mummy was getting me dressed and she found her earing stuck between my belly and my nappy. I must have put it in my 'pocket'... which means down my pants. Woops! That wasn't very comfortable, but definitely safe.

Nanny and Poppy came to have coffees with us yesterday. I love it when nanny and poppy come to visit me.

Mummy put me in big girls undies for the first time yesterday at our house (daddy has done it before. He is braver then mummy) and i did wees all over our couch!! Woops! I got really upset by it but mummy said it was okay, and just all part of toilet training. It made her wash the couch cover though that she has been wanting to do for weeks and putting it off. I did do some wees and poos in the toilet though so that was a good days work i thought!

I spent lots of time yesterday playing in the sun at my park, or having a HUGE sleep during the day. I am in the process of learning how to pore my own drinks (have i spoken about this before) It is my independence coming out, but the rules are i can only do it when mummy is with me. I am very good at it though, but might pore myself more juice then mummy would. we will have to work on that she says.

Last night uncle matt came to our house to have dinner with mummy and I. Steak and Vedgie... yummmmmm! It is one of my favourites. It was so much fun to play with uncle matt. He liked to tickle me alot, that was really funny. I had a late night last night though so i am a bit sensitive this morning (i should have slept in longer mummy says!)

Right now i am barking at the dogs next door who are barking also. Mummy is not sure which one is louder but thinks I am definitely encouraging them to bark more!!

Busy day today. We have to go and buy poppa a present for his birthday tomorrow, and have coffees with auntie ash. Mummy says if we all are in a good mood tonight we might go down to the beach and spend some times looking at the moon. It is beautiful at the moment. :)

have a good day.

Yewwww, Taxi

Mummy & I begun our day with a trip to the our lovely hair dresser Ros. I was a great girl (as i always am) and sat on the couch and played with my puzzles why mummy get hr hair done and her and Ros philosophised about the world. Gosh women can talk?!

After that i asked mummy nicely (please mummy) if i could go and visit poppa and have a ride on my nay so we did that on the way home. By the time we got back home it was time for a lunch feast and then off to have a nap. Why mummy was outside working on her essay and I was supposed to be sleeping i was actually in my room getting into all sorts of mischief. Mummy caught me trying to go out the back door to my park, only to notice I was wearing NO nappy and i had changed my pants, shoes and added my 'daddys prettys' to my arm. What a little monster I am. Mummy could see the funny side to it, added a nappy to the equation and put me back to bed. I realised then how tired I was and went to sleep.

It was only about 10 minutes after that mummy was bundling me up with ted and putting me in the car rushing up to the hospital because she had a call that uncle ash had fainted while at KFC and was being taking in an ambulance. I kept telling mummy that he had an 'owwww' like i did on my face. He was okay, but we got to hang out in the emergency department for a couple of hours. I was a good girl and happily sat up on the bed with uncle ash, telling him stories and checking his ears to make sure he wasn't to 'owww'.

A little girl threw blocks at me while I was in the play area and i was very scared of her from then on and whenver she would come near me I would run back to mummy. She wasn't very happy with how mean the little girl was.

Someones phone went off why we were in the emergency department. They got a message and their message tone was *whistle* taxi. Do you know the one? Well... i copied this when i heard it and went 'woooop' (imitating the whistle) Daddy (instead of taxi) Gosh it made mummy laugh, and the people in the room next to us.

After we took uncle ash back home it was time to come to Zoe and Cammas to look after them for the night. Zoe and I had a bath and played shops while mummy cooked Salmon pasta and Kel came to visit for dinner. It was so yummmmmy. I am now snuggled up in bed waiting for mummy to come join me as we get to sleep together tonight. YAY! I wonder what adventures tomorrow will bringg?

Life as a 2 year old

It was a week ago today that we celebrate the momentous occasion of my second birthday. Life has finally started to feel like it has settled back down and everything is once again running normally.

Today was a little school day. YAY! I love spending time with my friends at little school and then spending the afternoon with Daddy while mummy works hard at big school. Today i was extremely hyperactive in my activities of the afternoon and when mummy got to Daddys i was jumping and running and squealing all over the house. What a tired little girl i was, and yet with so much excitement I didn't know what to do with it.

It didn't become contained until I went to bed either with me just GO GO GO all night. Mummy finally managed to get dinner organised while trying to control me while i pulled out puzzles, pulled magnets of fridges and striped my bed of toys and blankets. Having some healthy food in my belly was nice and I then enjoyed a nice (and yet still bouncy) cuddle with mummy while I drank my milk.

Nahnah and Chino came to visit me before i had a sleep so that got me very excited again. Once i went to bed (happily and without fight) it took me two seconds to fall asleep. It had happened before mummy even turned out the light. How exhausting my days at little school are and yet what fun i have!

Off to the hairdresses tomorrow, and then sleep overs at Zoes. Hoorah!

I AM 2! (Are you?)

Something amazing has happened since I updated my blog last... and i don't think you will ever guess! Mummy and Daddy have told me that I have turned two! Yep, thats right, two! I am not quite sure what makes this so, but i trust my parents so from now on I will be forever known as two! Until next year of course.

Wednesday was my birthday and what a great day it was. My morning started by me jumping into bed with mummy and her giving me lots of kisses and cuddles. Daddy came around shortly after and we opened some presents and I ate a bowl of yoghurt and strawberries YUM! Daddy had to go to school too soon, but then mummy and i spent a girls morning together before I had to go to little school and mummy had to go to big school. We painted our toes, they are not blue anymore but pink. And we played with my new playdough which mummy got me for my birthday (she also got me lots of cool books). It wasn't long before it was time to head off to little school. Mummy made me some yummy cupcakes to share with my friends. I had a great time with my friends celebrating my birthday and they made me a really nice card to take home. Daddy picked me up from school (which was very exciting) and we got to spend some time playing together before mummy finished school. Once mummy got back from school I got to open my present from Daddy (I got a aquadoodle!) and Daddy and I made great pictures on it. Mummy and I then headed to Nah & pa's for dinner where i got to ride on my new rocking horse called Nay! It was such a great, but exhausting day.

Thursday Mummy & I went for a trip to the beach in late celebration for my birthday. We got to have some Mcdonalds and a play at the park. Nahnah met us down there and we had a great day. Friday I helped mummy get prepared for the party. We started the morning doing some gardening and then daddy took me on an adventure while mummy mowed the lawns. After that we made lots of party food including tea cups, teddies in cars, a nice fruit salad and two cakes. Friday night we got to have a picnic in our lounge room because we had no room on our kitchen table. That was something we had never done before and it was FUN! Saturday was going to be a great day!!!

Saturday morning was one filled with excitement. Mummy and I put up some balloons, set up the gazibo and table, got out the picnic blankets and teddies and got our party faces on. Daddy came around early and we enjoyed a nice picnic before our guests arrived. I was so excited to have so many people around me that i loved. I have amazing friends and family. I really enjoyed playing with my cousins Zoe, Ethan and Cooper. We had a great time on my park, and playing with teddies and balls. There was so much yummy food that we all enjoyed and it was a beautiful day in the sun. I don't think it could have gotten any better. I got so many amazing presents. I was such a good girl, considering I didn't have any sleep. Mummy & Daddy were so proud of me. It was a quite night that night after we had packed up. Mummy and I enjoyed a nice bath and healthy dinner (much needed after so much sugar). We enjoyed lots of cuddles while watching a movie and then off to bed for this tired birthday princess.

Today was a quite day at home again. Mummy and i had to sort out where to put all my new clothes and toys, and we cleaned the house. IN the afternoon after my sleep mummy i and played on the park, played with playdough and Mrs potato head (presents) we practices my new puzzles and read some books.

I am the luckiest girl in the world to have so many beautiful friends and the best family in the world. I had the best birthday in the world, and look forward to many more amazing adventures in my 3rd year.

IMBIL!

I have not updated my blog for the last couple of days because mummy wouldn't let me take the computer camping (plus there was no reception at Imbil so it is probably a good thing). So, here we go....

Friday - Mummy, Nah and I took a trip down to Brisbane so that Nah could pick up my birthday present which was a beautiful rocking horse. I really like it... now. I wasn't so sure about it when it was next to me in the car and rocking as we were driving. I am not sure if i was more worried that it would rock onto me, or that it would hurt itself, but whatever the reason i was very unsure about. Nah tied it down so it couldn't rock anymore and that made me feel a little bit better. I got to have a ride on him though once we got it back to Nahs. I have called him "Nay!" because horses neigh. I love him now!

On our drive home from Brisbane we found this really amazing park near Zillmere that had so many adventure places. There was towers, and little baby monkey bars, so many slides and swings to choose from, a bouncy mat, stepping stones... just so much amazing play equipment. Mummy thinks it was the coolest park she has ever seen and i must say i have to agree. I could have spent hours there. Mummy says we can go back next time we are in brisbane. I can't wait!!

Friday afternoon it was time to get all packed up and head to camping at Imbil with Nah & Pa, Uncle Ash, Aunt, Camma and Zoe. I really love camping. I helped Mummy set up our tents, and our beds until she got one of the polls stuck and got a little bit frustrated because it wouldn't come out so i went and helped Nah. At Imbil there are so many hills covered in beautiful green grass for running up and down. Mummy and I did a lot of skipping, and we played football with the boys. We had a fire were we could toast marshmellows. There were so many duckies to see. This morning we got to go platypus watching and we saw SOOOO many. One came up really close to us so we could see it really good. I have never seen a platypus before and they were beautiful to watch. We did some fishing, and explored the town of Imbil to find a park (which we did YAY!) and had a look at some markets.

Yesterday I had my first trip in a canoe. It was yellow and Mummy, Poppa and I went for a trip up and down the creek. It was really lovely. I liked being out in the middle of the water, which was so calm and beautiful. We found a waterfall but didn't go down it. The water was SOOOO cold though, it would not have been nice to fall in. I will tell you all about my trip in the boat. I am still talking about it today.

It was nice to get home this afternoon, and to have a chance to ring my daddy who i hadn't been able to call while i was away. Mummy and I did some washing (i now can help her load the washing washing and hang out the washing), and did some puzzle practice. It is nice to be back with all my toys and i quickly pulled them all out finding which ones I wanted to play with the most. Auntie Pam and Uncle Dave came to visit for a tea before they head off again on their adventures. They wanted to see our new house.

Tonight I have asked mummy very nicely if i can sleep with her ducky, and lucky me she said yes. So tonight it is lucky me and lucky ducky snuggled up for sweet dreams.

Daddy day tomorrow, i am so excited.

Only three sleeps until i am two!! (but who's counting right?)
